Jane Kellahan is an established New Zealand artist, whose paintings are abstract, yet strike a forgotten chord deep within. Painted with her usual flamboyant energy, her works are visually rich and stimulating - dictated by emotion, governed by passion. The primary objective is to evoke an emotive response from the viewer. This harmony is achieved through essential considerations of scale and the minimal usage of organic textures and limited colour palettes. Jane has had three successful exhibitions at the Parnell Gallery and has exhibited in Wellington and the Wairarapa. She has also exhibited in Australia and the United Kingdom, Spain and the 2005 Florence Biennale in Italy. In 2000 Jane studied art in London and in 2001 her work was selected by the Academy of Fine Arts, London.
