Peter Hackett’s paintings are recognisable by their captivating use of colour and composition, his thick impasto layers and a vivid palette evoking a sublime sense of the natural world.
Hackett continues to be inspired by the swathes of flowers that fill the fields during spring and summer, his latest body of work reflecting and embodying the headiness of the season’s arrival.
A sculptural quality is achieved through Hackett’s unique facture and, paired with the large scale of these works in oil, a sense of immediacy and intimacy is created, allowing us to lose ourselves further within the joyful, visceral qualities of these intoxicating works.
