Hollie O’Neill

Parkin Drawing prize finalist Holly O’Neill is inspired by her childhood experiences with animals while growing up in rural Bay of Islands.  Her subjects are brimming with character and are energetically presented in vivid colour. The animal is presented in large-scale, in lively monochromatic detail against a contrasting background, elevating each creature to an iconic status.
