About this artwork
The subject is the result of a dream in which the artist saw a series of small boats appear on the hull of a larger boat. The forms of the boats are a development of his Okahu Bay series of paintings and drawings.
There are 18 separate screens, 52 separate printings, the stencils handcut by Don Tee (Artrite Screenprinters), the colours are all hand mixed by the artist.
This screenprint was awarded Highly Commended in the 2008 Pride’n’Print Awards.
