Just prior to his first solo exhibition opening, we were lucky to be joined in the gallery by artist, Jae Frew and Jeremy Wells from Seven Sharp to discuss Manu Kōingo – Birds of Yearning which is on view at Parnell Gallery from 12 March – 4 April 2023.

The interview gives insight into conceptualisation of the exhibition and the process behind the works, plus very special footage of the artist back-of-house at Auckland Museum where he was allowed access to capture his exquisite photos of these extinct and endangered species.
