We are just delighted to acknowledge gallery artist, Sara Langdon, for her position as a finalist in the NZ Painting and Printmaking Awards, run by Waikato. Society of Arts, for her 500x500mm acrylic on board painting, ‘Evergreen III’.

Not only that, Sara also took out the ‘Peoples Choice Award’, winning a $1,000 gift voucher from Gordon Harris Art Supplies – such great recognition for her outstanding work, as well as an amazing prize!

Sara is known for her meticulously detailed landscapes and sensitive compositions, ‘Evergreen III’ offers the artist’s captivating vision of a misty day on Waiheke Island. Inspired by New Zealand’s maunga and the shifting light that moves through rich green blankets of native forest and grasses, Sara’ work is a response to the beauty she observes in our natural environment – a graceful dance of shadow and light.
