Jane Crisp explains that ‘Trust the Fall’ contemplates a profound global and personal transition, a symbolic ‘fall’ marking the shift from the Piscean to the Aquarian age. In this moment of accelerated change, Crisp reflects on humanity’s movement toward greater awareness, interconnectedness, and transformation. The work suggests a collective unravelling of old systems, and an emerging alignment with higher consciousness, ecological balance, and spiritual evolution.

At the heart of the painting are symbolic creatures: the badger, representing resilience, protection, and fierce self-belief, and the bee, dragonfly, and ladybird are emblems of transformation, intuition, abundance, and guidance through change. Nestled among flowers and other organic forms, succulents emerge as quiet symbols of endurance, adaptability and healing. Together, these elements hold space for uncertainty and invite the viewer to trust in life’s unfolding, even, and especially, during the ‘fall’.
