HOME Magazine Home of the Year 2024 Boathouse Bay featuring Ross Jones
Home of the Year, run by HOME Magazine, is an annual celebration honoring New Zealand’s finest new homes, awarding a $10,000 prize to the overall winner.

This prestigious award recognizes excellence in residential architecture, with categories including City Home of the Year, Small Home of the Year, Rural Home of the Year, Green Home of the Year, Alt & Reno Home of the Year, and Multi-Unit Home of the Year. Each category highlights the unique architectural nuances in various contexts.

The Home of the Year winner represents a moment of architectural brilliance—an embodiment of the client’s vision harmonized with the designer’s creativity. While not always the largest, these homes are pure expressions of architectural ingenuity.

In 2024, the coveted Home of the Year title was bestowed upon Boathouse Bay by Crosson Architects, showcasing exemplary multi-unit design that fosters community living through seamless integration of architecture, landscape, and master-planning.

Resident artist Ross Jones, represented by Parnell Gallery, shared his experience of living in Boathouse Bay in an interview with Seven Sharp, offering a glimpse into his art-adorned lounge and studio. We’re thrilled to share the video below.

Parnell Gallery is delighted to host the bi-annual exhibition of Ross Jones later this year, in November 2024.
